Diapraxis for peace: A case from Zanzibar

Overview

After decades of pioneering with interreligious dialogue, on the 1st of June 2005 the World Council of Churches gathered at “a critical moment in interreligious dialogue” to take stock of progress made and discuss future directions.

Taking the conference topic as its point of departure, this article will introduce the concept diapraxis and describe an example of it, arguing that it could constitute one among several fruitful avenues in future interreligious dialogue.
