Baghdad Kite Carnival
A local initiative organized by a group of young demonstrators, in April 2019.
Through this initiative, 200 young volunteers worked for two months in organizing and creating kites, which were flown during a big family event in Baghdad.
The youth wanted to deliver a message of Peace “Fly with our Peace” and show a positive image of the city of Baghdad to the world. They wish to lead a normal life with dignity and spread smiles to the Iraqi people despite the difficult times. More than 4.000 citizens in Bagdad participated in this kite carnival.
